To any who may be interested I am the official PTN-APT liaison, having taken over the role from Barry Loveland last October. Barry requests that whomever is interested not contact him but contact me.
Very happy to see this forum. PTN has a similar forum and it has been difficult to get anyone to use it. Currently there are a whole host of questions posted there from students at the University of Florida Preservation Program in regards of their desire to undertake a cultural neighborhood survey of Holy Cross, 9th Ward, New Orleans. Their report is anticpated by the Holy Cross Neighborhood Association to contribute a backbone for development of their needs report to the government for establishing criteria for repopulation, public investment and to halt demolition of their heritage structures. My interface w/ APT at present primarily is associated w/ keeping tabs on APT & PTN responses in the Gulf region and assisting in making connections. Following after that is discussions regarding PTN participation at the APT 2006, 2007 and 2008 conferences. Later, Ken Follett |
